The City of Auburn councillors have decided to approve a budget that will force the fire department to operate under staffed. In order to keep the firemen safe, they will be taking trucks out of service instead of hiring for vacancies. The first truck to "BROWN OUT" will be Engine 2 in New Auburn. This means there will be no fire protection or members in that fire station. Rough predictions is that it will occur more than half the year. Call your city counselor with your concerns of no fire and EMS coverage in your area.
